HISTORY

Our slogan : Everything Under one Roof.

Hotel Motel Charles was founded in 1956 by Mr. Charles Doyon from St-Georges and gave the restaurant it’s name. He began by building a restaurant adjacent to a two-story house, where he sold his specialty BBQ Chicken.
Continuing to expand, he added two dining rooms , a lounge and a banquet hall that could accommodate 25 people. Furthermore, he constructed the motel which featured 28 rooms for rent .

Mr. Richard Poulin now CEO of The Charles Motel started his career with his father and uncles, Jimmy Laurence and Amand Poulin. He worked in the kitchen as a dishwasher and helped in all areas of the business. He left for a few years and came back as a shareholder in 1978 with his father and brothers.

As the years went on, his father and brothers left the company. In 1997 Mr. Richard Rosa head chef for 22 years at the Charles Restaurant and M.
